  • Should I test my Tai Chi Green Tea for radiation like caesium 137 from Fukushima? I know for a fact that turkish black tea is still radioactive from the 1986 Chernobyl accident.

  • @FunkMan53 Tai Chi Green Tea was grown in Central China, which is thousands miles away from Japan, and during the season of the Japan's leak, the wind was blowing east toward Pacific and North America (China is West of Japan). Nowadays agricutural products from China have been under scrutiny. US custom has done all necessary examinations to make sure they are safe. thus, if chinese agricultural products in US are not safer than those produced locally, at least they are equaly safe.

  • are the traditional tea bags with like the powder like tea still effective in weight loss? And by fresh, what do you mean? would boxes from store that are still wrapped be considered fresh? what green tea brand would you recommend for me?

  • @Hasnath11 All green tea are different based on where it was grown; which season it was picked, which part of the leaves came from the tree, how it was processed and stored and how long it has been kept. All the factors affect the effect.

A lot of green tea in the stores may not be fresh. You have to smell it, examine it, taste it to decide. If you are in US, you may try Tai Chi Green Tea (taichigreentea com - our brand). It may be a little fresher than most green tea.

  • I always put a couple of green tea bags in a big bottle then leave it in the fridge for a few hours because I like it ice cold but thats actually bad??? After all this time I thought I was doing something good for myself but now I'm not getting the antioxidents and other good stuff because it all goes away in an hour???

  • @shadowman2192 Everything is relative. Using icy cold water to make green tea, usually it takes 40 minutes or longer to get it out. And if you put it in refrigerator, it will last longer. So, your way of making green tea is probably fine.

By the way, make sure the green tea you have is fresh. That is most critical.

Never drink green tea on an empty stomach. Sometimes it even makes one dizzy.

But if one has a digestion problem, drink green tea made with warm water, he will feel better just in a few minutes.
