Haven vs Azgalor (World of Warcraft)

Haven's second kill of the fourth boss in the Caverns of Time: Mount Hyjal instance. This dude looks just like Magtheridon and will most likely be the first boss you'll encounter who will drop T6 set gear (gloves).


Notes:

-During our attempts we used tanks such as prot warriors and feral druids (bears). Of the two, bear tanking was far superior due to their high dodge rating. A bear's high string of dodges can help immensely during those 5 second silences!

-This guy will hit your tank pretty hard. Expect 8,000-9,000 normal hits.

-Just like Kaz'rogal, shadow resist gear can play a factor. I had both the shadow protection buff along with the Black Temple neck equipped and I was resisting the silences half the time.

-Stay out of the rain of fire. It hurts.

-The boss was tanked right next to Thrall. Despite previous worries, Thrall appears to be made of fire retardant substance. Heh.

-Those who receive the Doom debuff are assigned to run over to the tauren warrior camp where the resulting adds that spawn from your death will be tanked (bear and a prot pally in this case).

-Sadly, I received the Doom debuff at 4:25 into the video. This is near the end of the encounter and should provide some good insight where we ran to when we got Doom'ed.

-Melee dps were assigned to kill the adds.

-At around 20% life, we send in the melee dps (with prior warning to the rains of fire) to help finish off the boss.
