Orbison wrote it for the Everly Brothers who turned it down. Then Orbison scored a hit with it so Everly brothers released it but it bombed. Great song by both though.

'Claudette', was on the flip side of the Everly Brothers big hit 'All I Have To Do Is Dream', which went to number one, in '58 and stayed there for five weeks. 'Claudette' was also very popular here in the States and also Charted, but a lot further down.

Quo are certainly the pick of English rock and roll bands, and this version is just great. Paradoxically, though he was a great and unique talent, this Roy Orbison song was better suited to rock and roll singers, which really he wasn't.

And that little cutie at the end wraps up this video nicely. Good to see the next generation of Quo fans being introduced to the music so young.
This song was written by the great Roy Orbison not by the Quo, isn't it?
