Om Mani Padme Hum (Sanskrit):

It's literal translation is: "Save the jewel in the lotus."
This is a reminder of evocation of the boddhisattva of compassion between tibetan Buddhists and Chinese.

OM = Is the vibration of the WHOLE.. ; THE Supreme, THE Great Architect Of the Universe, GOD, THE Absolute, The first light and the first LOVE, THE LORD, THE Largest Love That Generates Life..

Actually, THE Supreme is not man or woman form, but pure and Imperishable Consciousness beyond any shape.. Therefore, does not really matter to call it of Celestial Father or of Divine Mother.
He is Father-Mother of all.

Mani = Is the spiritual Jewel that dwells the "heart"; in other words, the own Existence, Being, spirit..
..Atman, the essence of Brahman, the divine essence..

Padme = Lotus is the heart chakra that it involves, energetically, that subtle jewel; "Energy"..

Hum = Is the vibration of that compassion of the whole flowing light on the heart chakra in favor of all beings..

That mantra is knowner as the "Mantra of the compassion."
It's one of the most powerful mantras known..
It can be concentrated, mentally, inside of the chest..
As if the mental voice was reflecting there, or inside of any one of the chakras that the person want to activate..
However, the best place is really the heart chakra, because what arrives there is distributed for the whole body, for the blood circulation commanded by the heart, and also all the other chakras of the energy body.
The front chakra, in the forehead, is also excellent for the practice of that mantra, because what arrives in it distributed along the column by the nádis, subtle conduits of energy transport for the system, and official report the all the other chakras below him.
That is the reason for which several yogis masters always advise to their disciples to begin some Bioenergetic practice for it.
An excellent book that illustrate well of the Japanese researcher yogi Hiroshi Motoyama, "Theory of Chakras".
Om Mani Padme Hum!,
Om Shanti,
Om Maharaj!
