yes it was distilling the Wood into a caraceen like compound that will burn once you get the water out.

Two very important things are needed: a good bed of charcoal and a good air velocity in order to keep the temperature above 700C° to make flammable gas.
Indeed, the gas produced in the pyrolyse zone must pass throught the bed of charcoal and then gas will be produced, that is why you need a good bed of charcoal and a good velocity.

@benjymf97200 That problem was solved, check the newer videos :) It ran very clean when those problems were fixed.

Stay tuned, I have a GEK gasifier Lv III kit and will be posting a video on the contents soon. I'll try to make videos every so often along the way showing the build. I'm only doing it in my schools shop so it may be a video every week, or every other week showing another part being put together.
(and yes there may be fast motion on some of the welding if it takes too long, no information or process will be skipped though)

@VulcanGasifier thanks, :) if i hadn't it would be Sooo long, i had like 2 hours+ of video to show. if you want funny in the newer video i got a back fire to the face, that was funny i jumped so much (my face wasnt actually over it, just close)
