skip to 13:30 for when i got it running well

IF YOU SKIP THROUGH, WATCH THESE TIMES:
4:35 - a flare from insulation going out
5:25 - first sustained burn
10:10 - fuel size
11:25 - secondary fuel (caused bridging)
and 13:30 - for when it started running well

my first run on my gasifier, it took a while for me to find out what to do, it was a learning process. now i know. more updates soon :)

  • Two very important things are needed: a good bed of charcoal and a good air velocity in order to keep the temperature above 700C° to make flammable gas.

Indeed, the gas produced in the pyrolyse zone must pass throught the bed of charcoal and then gas will be produced, that is why you need a good bed of charcoal and a good velocity.

  • @benjymf97200 That problem was solved, check the newer videos :) It ran very clean when those problems were fixed.

  • You are to get some more knowledge before.

  • @benjymf97200 before what? making the video?...

the video was kinda an after thought on this one. i had it on hand. My up coming videos will be more complete and through.

  • Stay tuned, I have a GEK gasifier Lv III kit and will be posting a video on the contents soon. I'll try to make videos every so often along the way showing the build. I'm only doing it in my schools shop so it may be a video every week, or every other week showing another part being put together.

(and yes there may be fast motion on some of the welding if it takes too long, no information or process will be skipped though)

  • That is funny chit!!! I love when your lighting the torch at high speed. Nice build keep up the good work.

  • @VulcanGasifier thanks, :) if i hadn't it would be Sooo long, i had like 2 hours+ of video to show. if you want funny in the newer video i got a back fire to the face, that was funny i jumped so much (my face wasnt actually over it, just close)
