Sorry for double posting: I don't want to play smartass but I can assure you, a head shot isn't always the least unpleasant way to die ;-). Maybe you want to watch the british documentary "Executions" which according to its title is all about the rather doubtful history of people killing people. This film, inter alia, contains a very disturbing scene of a terrorist executed in Lebanon. They blow half his dead and he goes for about two minutes twitching and gasping until he finally dies.

I'm afraid I have to disappoint you, but a head shot doesn't kill you instantly. You'll have about a minute to suffer the most splitting headache you ever had, 'til you finally die. Being shot in the head is one of the most painful ways to die. Remember that, when you ever should try to kill yourself ;-).
