Hopefully McGloin is not in the discussion this 2011 spring. The kid is a turnover machine and we wil finish with 7 wins AT BEST with him as the starter.
@MVillani1985 Also, I said that everyone predicting that Florida and Oklahoma were destined to meet in the national championship game again for a rematch were dead wrong. I was right. Turned out to be Alabama and Texas. In 2008, I knew Cincinatti would be a good team in 2009. Got that right too. However, I could get this wrong, I underestimated Wisconsin's renewed ability to win close games, predicting 5-7 last year for them. However, I'm hope I'm wrong about Penn State this year, I really do.
Also, in 2008 I said that Michigan would lose to Utah by 2 points but Utah would be BCS busters (got both right), PSU would beat Michigan by 28 or more (46-17, 29 point spread, I was right). Everyone said we'd lose to Ohio State, but I guaranteed a win over the Buckeyes and said Iowa was who we had to watch out for (got that right as well). Last year, I also said that Iowa would have a good shot at the Big Ten title. I got that one right too. I also said that TCU would be a good team.
@pennstate2612 I've been watching Penn State football since probably before you were born (I don't know how old you are, if you're over 25, then I retract that statement), so I think I'm qualified to say I know about PSU football. I normally would not predict such a disaster but all the signs are there. 2011 should be awesome, however. I just call it as I see it. Last year everyone said Illinois would be great and told me I didn't know jack about football when I said 1-11 to 3-9, I was right.
@MVillani1985 You obviously dont know anything about Penn State football if you are thinking 6-6 or 4-8...Clearly Penn State is favored in at least 9 of their games this year. The only 3 they are not favored are Alabama, Iowa, and Ohio State. So please do not act like you know everything about Penn State Football
@PrincessZelda613 I wish I was as optimistic as you are. Don't get me wrong, I love my Lions, but 9-3 isn't going to happen, plain and simple. Maybe 6-6 if we're lucky, but I'm thinking 4-8 myself.
I was about to comment that you had forgotten to include Matt McGloin in your list of quarterbacks until I noticed the name typed in at the very end. I am still fairly optimistic about Penn State, however, remember that there was a quarterback controversy in 2008 and Penn State very nearly became national champions. Alas, I think that will not be the case this time, however, I do believe that Penn State will win at least 9 games.
