FEMALE HUMMINGBIRD: "I spy a feeder!" She takes off for a moment after a few sips. STRANGER: "I'm gonna get some, too." The stranger takes a few sips, and the female spots him. "I saw it first!" she chirps angrily. KRASH! BOOM! BIF!

Actually, in many states, it is illegal to touch or interfer with wild birds. I see them "stuck" inside grocery stores and department stores that have a lawn/gardend department all the time. Wildlife officials won't even come out to catch them. If it's the State bird...you could do jail time! I too felt bad it was trapped...but they're smart, once they calm down, they find their way...thanks for the video! It was really cool!

helping a hummingbird is often more dangerous than letting them be. They are tiny and fragile to handle. Also they are so fast, there is little one can do. In this case, I was waiting for the little booger to tire out so I could help it.
