CGRundertow - MANHUNT 2 for PlayStation 2 Video Game Review

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Manhunt 2 from Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 2. Manhunt 2 is also available for the Nintendo Wii, PSP and PC. When the news hit that Rockstar was developing a sequel to the internationally banned Manhunt — for the family friendly Wii, no less — the controversy swelled to an incredible level. Manhunt 2 was forced to go through extensive censorship prior to its release, hence the blurred cut scenes and, of course, the backlash. The violence feels even more gratuitous and meaningless when blurred out, and unlike the first game, Manhunt 2 also suffers from lots of technical shortcomings. I dont want to critizis you. I love the CGR Reviews. But i don't think you understand the story and atmosphere of this game. Its not about to kill everyone in your way. In fact, most of the time you don't need to kill at all. The game is about the sick Storyline and what happens when people play god with the brains of others. I never played a game with such a atmosphere before. In my opinion Manhunt 2 is one of the best games developed by Rockstar.

the pc version is 10 times better than the ps2 version and is actually really good.

I like this game, I just got the 2nd one but the thing I didn't dig was the grain filter but luckily you can turn it off. Could care less about the cut scenes looking the way they do, I like the puzzle-ish element, trying to figure out how to get to the next area without being seen. I give it a 6.5 out of 10

I actually thought the censors looked kinda cool, you could see the blood but it added on to the art style in a cheap b movie type of way

Derek simply cannot understand this games story. Hes doing nothing but trying to butcher this game.

He simply can't review ames unless he understands them. And he doesnt understand the Manhunt series. Its a story. A Story about a convicted killer,trying to survive. There isnt anything else to it.

manhunt 2 is about a scientist who trys to figure out who he is while trying to survive.

See where Im going here? MANHUNT IS ABOUT SURVIVAL.

So your opinion on the series is that it's an average stealth game whose appeal is the gruesome murders...and exactly how long did it take you to figure that out? OF COURSE we bought the game to kill people. Mediocre review that focused on the retarded controversy then, I don't know, reviewing the game? Also, PC Manhut 2 ftw
