Lol pitch up to 50-60 degrees. The plane will stall.
Well its 15 degrees
After liftoff, when positive rate, gear up :D
And raise the nose up to 15 degrees.
Maintain V2 +10 Speed (:

Ryanhaart...It's a TOGA takeoff. When testing an aircraft , there are many things to consider. One is to takeoff with maximum thrust. (as in the vid)
And the second is to accelerate to V1 and stopp,
with other words check the RTO.
Many airlines also have policy to use MINIMUM 1 TOGA takeoff every month, to check that it's working on the right way.
When light loaded, FLEX or Derate is recommended yes, but this is an TEST flight.
Thanks for sharing, 5 stars!
BTW my fav aircraft is A330 ;)

This changed my life.

that is so amazing

I don't see why the pilot didn't ignite the rocket boosters.
He coulda been space by the time the vid was over.

What is `high performance` about the takeoff?
-
Don't confuse a fast takeoff with a high performance takeoff. Though both lift the aircraft off the ground in a short distance, a high performance takeoff involves pitching the nose up higher and quicker than normal and sometimes a quick roll/steep turn away from the runway. That clearly wasn't the case here.

@masster64 Usually when you want to go around you push the throttles forward to takeoff/go around thrust (TOGA). In that incident, the pilot pulled full back on the sidestick and left the throttle in idle. In some situations this causes the Airbus to go into alpha protection mode giving increased throttle to maintain speed. When it's in landing mode, it doesn't. It just maintains attitude/angle of attack (so as not to force a go around). Pilot did it deliberatley to demonstrate alpha. bad choice

yeah, specially when the pilot wants to miss a landing and on board computers say "no,no, we want to land anyway" and then the plane plows through trees...

@masster64 Still it's one of the safest airplane in the world. Airplane crashes are commonly caused by human errors, not the airplane's fault.

@320321330 "BTW my fav aircraft is A330 ;)"
how many of them crasked till now ?
That's not in the least a TOGA t/o... nevertheless, I like the video ;-) Which airport is it?

It is a TOGA t/o with thrust bump activated. The airport is Toulouse Blagnac, France (LFBO) during a test flight.

That's not a high performance takeoff.

I was referring to the A330. You cannot do it quicker than that on a similar airplane.
