  • My xp desk computer couldn't boot. On my E drive I have disc sector errors. Now is this caused exclusively by some area of the magnetic disc scratched etc or is it caused by the cables that plug it in. How would u know if the cables have got loose or frayed wires that connect to the disc as the real problem. My theory is that when my e drive has less than 15 % to defrag that's when we run into disc sector area problem. I remember it said that b4. When I unplugged e drive I can now start up xp.
