  • the first attempt to recover the challenger ended in a broken cable and the challenger still in place. the second attempt 8 hours later is what is on the film. we couldn't start the machine because of the frozen starter and water in the transmission and rear end

  • How did that happen?!?!? BTW, (it would have helped to have someone driving the Challenger, LOL!)

  • the challenger broke through the ice while grooming a new road 8 miles from the closest dozer, which took over 3 hours to travel to the frozen challenger
