This song is based on a true story that is the basis for the story of this song. Jimmy (with his mother one Christmas Eve) was out to dinner when a soldier and his wife came in. They sat down near Jimmy and his mom. Jimmy struck up a conversation with the soldier and found out he was being deployed to Iraq to fight in the war. After living with this memory for a couple of years, he got with Nashville songwriter, Donna Graham, and they co-wrote this song. Truly, we all should thank those who serve our country and wear the uniform proudly. God bless them and God bless America.

Great job jimmy. You make me so proud. I just enlisted into the army and alot of things you said in the lyrics of your song really made me feel great to be a soldier.
