We made this lift to be used with a 3 point hitch tractor or a pickup with a reciever hitch. This way we do not drag the logs to our LumberSmith Saw Mill. It also works well as a post puller on either the tractor or pickup! There are hundreds of uses for this! We now have plans available for $20.00-US. Contact realnbcbed@yahoo.com with the address you'd like it sent to and you can make payment via paypal to the same address. We will mail it to you ASAP!

  • Got an idea. you need one more winch at the top corner to pull the raised load towards the truck, then slack up on the boom winch and lower the load onto the forks.

  • @ph12345boy Actually, in the video you can see me pulling on the chain while the log is in the air and hooking it back just below the winch. We fixed that without another winch. It is easy to adjust to each size log. We raise bottom of the log to a couple inches above the forks and hold the chain up to the frame just under the end pully, the lenght of chain at that point is the link that should be hooked into the hook under the winch!

  • @ph12345boy Thanks!

  • profoil1.. I don't know what you are asking.

  • Do you have a plans and parts list for this?

I would love to build one to use to pick up firewood and load it onto my trailer.

    Great idea.

  • @realnbcbed if you put the forks on a incline it would do most of the work for ya.... just an idea.

  • @realnbcbed Its Polish. They said "what an idiot". In my opinion, they have obviously never got off their arse and tried making anything like this. If they had they would appreciate your efforts a lot more. Well done, does what you wanted it to do and looks good to boot. Thumbs up. Homemade is BEST!

  • Well, I do like the lifter. anything that saves the back is a plus in my book. After watching your video a second time, I noticed the chain in the hook trick.

  • co to za debil
