My real-life rendition of the current flashing lights border.

Note: The TPIR logo experienced a few glitches. The appearance cycle repeated instead of just one cycle.
I didn't notice that before saving.

  • Do you use a program to make these things? if so, which program?

  • No, this one was homemade and filmed on my Samsung SC MX-10 digital camcorder

  • Not nessessarily this one, but other ones.

  • Oh, the animations.

Each individual frame was done in Paint and they were animated in GIF Construction Set Professional.

  • I was wondering why I didn't see the light border on yesterday's show. Now I know. I liked the border though.

  • That's a good idea.

  • It can be revived, I think. Just use the 4:3 version, and add little decorations on either side

  • HD killed the flashing lights border. It was a great, hand-made structure used for opening the show. I especially liked the 1984-2007 version the best. RIP 1975-2008

  • It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

    LOL!!!!!

  • Unfortunately, the newest version of the light border currently used on the show is gonna be awfully easy to re-create.
