  • omg this video made me cry im 25 weeks pregnant now this so touching.

  • Beautiful miracle!! God is great ;)

  • Awe! Thank God he is here. Yeah, I remember a time that they didn't think my daughter would make it, but she and your son did:)

  • (cont) when my son was discharged because I was so distraught when our son had awful bad colic and me, being a very inexperienced mother needed the support of my husband so the home health nurse that was helping me adjust to motherhood requested that my husband, who was at A School with the CG, come home to help me so I wouldnt be so alone.

  • @LovedbcHim Thanks. I remember the doctors had to do a procedure on him and had to secure his eyelids up to do it and my son was screaming so loud I had to leave the room...it brought me to tears. I was SO grateful to have my husband who came home for a few weeks from the tour his coast guard ship was on to be by my side. Turns out the doctors were so afraid that our son would die that they didnt want me to be alone. He was brought home again... (tbc)

  • @lkrause74 I meant to send the comment above to you:) Sorry:)

  • I think it was intimidating when I held my daughter. She felt like a tiny toy dog I could hide in my purse. I'm sure you could say the same about your son. One time when I held her she was starting to get sick and her O2 went way down. The nurse just kept letting me hold her to see if it would go back to normal, but it kept staying iregular. Turned out she had developed and infection and they had to up her o2 again. Those times were always scary.

  • @LovedbcHim Thats true. For me it was pretty scary at first. He had tubes and leads all over him and all those beeping machines so it was scary. But the nurses were awesome and were happy to explain what everything was and what they did so it became not so scary.

  • @lkrause74 It depends on the nurses though. The nicu was scary, but there were some wonderful nurses and parents. Parents can say three things about a nicu: it was the scaries experience, the best experience, or the worst. I guess it depends on the day too. Our babies are fighters:)

  • @LovedbcHim Me too with my son being born at exactly 27 weeks. He was 2lbs 3ozs. The NICU can be a scary place.
