@16yrs old the boy was offered once again the plea deal his mother(the Florida State Trooper Kathleen Grossett-Tate) originally rejected. He accepted a 2nd degree murder charge in exchange for the 3yrs in prison he had already served, followed by 1yr of house arrest, then 10yrs of probation.
BUT
Despite been spared from life in prison after beating to death 6yr old Tiffany Eunick, a few years later, now in his twenties, the man Lionel Tate was arrested for robbing a pizza delivery man @ gun point.
He got 10yrs for armed robbery to be served concurrently w/the 30yrs he got for violating his probation.
Had this 12yr old been tried as a juvenile & not as an adult, he would only have served 6 months in jail. 1month for each year of life of 6yr old Tiffany.
