so is it an actually fractal being render in ascii or is it just a video of a cycling fractal being converted to ascii?

@0e0 "Written in JavaScript, rendered in IE7.", so no, it's not a video being converted; the JavaScript calculates the fractal and decides which characters to use to render it.

Rendered in IE7? It would go a lot faster if it was rendered in Firefox 3.5!
