Great demo. But, from what I can tell, there would appear to be 2 general types of lap steels on the market: 1) relatively cheap entry level ones (Gretsch, Eastwood, SX, Rogue) and 2) very expensive ones. Not much in between. So I guess my question is this: how would you rate this Eastwood in terms of build quality, sound, tuning and intonation? Is it a touch above the$150-200 entry level steels around? Or does it frustrate much like the rest of the lower end models?

Very cool playing. What tuning are you in for this song? I worked out that trick you do at the 12th with the side of your right hand. VERY COOL. I've never seen that done before.

I'd love to!

I use the lapsteel for blues and it does me pretty well. Intonation seems fine and built quality is high for such a cheap instrument. I don't get much trouble with tuning. I reckon they're a safer bet than most cheapo lapsteels. I've recorded several albums with mine and I reckon it sounds great.

I am playing in G-tuning. Well done for figuring out the harmonic slide. I got that from Bob Brozman!
