(July 29)A magnitude five-point-eight magnitude earthquake has shaken Los Angeles. The U-S Geological survey says it was centered 29 miles east-southeast of downtown L-A. It struck just before noon local time.A spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department says there were no immediate reports of damage or injury. Buildings downtown swayed for several minutes. The quake was felt from L-A to San Diego. It was also felt slightly in Las Vegas. ___ ___, The Associated Press.

that was the first earthquake to strike directly in Los Angeles since the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, which was a 6.7. Los Angeles has been geting very few earthquakes in the 21st century meaning more energy stored up for the big one. Los Angeles usually feels earthquake from other parts of Caliofornia/ Mexico though.

omg i wuz at ma friendz house in corona,ca when dis happened it wuz krazzzzzy!!

i wuz like wtf is happening and everythin started shaking and i jus ran outside and all the neighbors were all like were gonna die! it wuz funny but scary cuz that wuz my first earthquake!
