different refs have different ideas on stoppages which honestly i dont have a problem with, you see which ref it is and you know this guy is going to stop it quick or this guy is going to let me take a beating
the issue with mirgliota is he does both and that is bad reffing

You should redo it, and I want your thoughts on the splits/early stoppages...ALSO the lack of standups in the almeida fight but the pretty immediate standup in the riley fight in the first round.... doesn't make sense.

I agree with some of your points. The recent UFC events has established dominating champions (e.g GSP, Penn, Lesnar, A Silva). With convincing victories over most of their perceived top opponents, it does seem the list of challengers is being diluted. It will take time to build another fan interest to the level of another mega fight event.
