@NikkieAbby Well that is something that is very far off. My kids are 6 and love it. Plus, its a completely different situation because you were pulled from the system. My kids don't know what its like to sit in a classroom. As a suggestion, maybe try to look up groups in your area. You might be able to make friends with other teens that are homeschooled as well. If you are bored, what interests you? Use your time to explore things you enjoy and look at the bright side. Best wishes to you:)

Homeschooler always get thumbs up. Special education is a real joke for the severely disabled. The regular ed teens wanted to hang out with the specials needs student, but the school separated them, if the special needs child is nonverbal. I finally had to homeschool my severely disabled son, because the school officials were not nice to him.

@walkingdan I'm sorry to hear that he was not treated well, but I'm happy to hear that you are homeschooling. I think it's best for children (and teens) to be at home with their mamas- not only do they get an education that fits their needs, but they also get all the love the need to blossom. High five for bringing him home and homeschooling:) Best wishes to you and your family!
