You shouldn't light up next to an aircraft anyway man. They have smoking areas that help keep people safe...
As for the costs, hotels are not up by 30 percent. Book early my friend.

what's in store for 2010 is YOU will be forced to pay a heafty fee . IF , you want to see anything be prepared to shill out MORE this year . EAA will have no choice but to pass costs on to you . it will cost for a policemen to escort you in . each time you land and take off . a $10 fee will be charged . hotel cost will go up by 30% . no smoking allowed anywheres . IF you light up . it will cost you $2500

Oh how I wish I could go!
I flew out to a small airport yesterday and met a person flying through on their way to Oshkosh. Some day I hope to follow.
