Düsseldorf's Königsallee presents a new star-designer: PHILIPP PLEIN! On November 15th the designer hosted an extraordinary event to celebrate the opening of the eighth PHILIPP PLEIN monobrand store, offering his guests numerous breathtaking moments.
The mayor of Düsseldorf congratulated the designer in his speech and passed the microphone on to Philipp Plein, who revealed the stunning shop together with none other the Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody. The event with 600 invited guests was hosted by the Belgian singer Sandrine. International music stars like Eve, Timati and beau Baptiste Giabiconi flew , as well as many German celebrities such as Boris Becker and his wife Lilly, Christoph Metzelder, Heinz Harald Frenzen, Kai Ebel, Mark Keller, Verona Pooth, Sophia Thomalla, Birgit Schrowange, Ute Ohoven and her daughters, celebrated this evening with the designer and admired the first German store.
After the spectacular revealation of the store, the PHILIPP PLEIN fashion show was the next highlight of the evening. The Fall Winter 2011 Collection was presented directly in front of the store. Schwarzkopf Professional partner studio Guido Wagner and the Inglot Make-Up team made the look of the models perfect and the catwalk beauties amazed the guests with their exclusive outfits.
The guests were able to witness the fashion show directly at the catwalk or through the high-tech display on the oversized LED ball, which was an additional Eye Catcher.
Champagne and fruity Vodka Absolut cocktails sweetened the evening for the guests while celebrating to the songs of Eve and Timati, who performed together after the fashion show and flew in especially for the store opening from New York and Moscow.
The exclusive After-Dinner took place at the Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf. Adrien Brody, Eve and Timati let the evening, together with Philipp Plein and the other guests, cozily come to an end, enjoying an exclusive performance by Baptiste Giabiconi who presented his new songs after the dinner.
This new PHILIPP PLEIN Shop welcomes his clients with an ultra-modern, luxurious and elegant look which was designed by the Italian architecture firm AquiliAlberg.
Like every PHILIPP PLEIN Boutique this shop is an architectural highlight. The architecture of the store presents the Couture, Homme, Accessories and Kids Collection like artworks and ensures that each item can unfold its exclusiveness to the fullest on
230 m². The new store presents a concept which combines the pure and minimalist aesthetic of the PHILIPP PLEIN Home Collection with the glamorous fashion line of the 33 year-old designer. In the biggest store of the brand, the collection is presented by rotating mannequins presenting the collection in 8 metres high windows. The new store shows the collection on two floors. On the ground floor accessories are displayed in an oversized 7 metre high shelve construction. The lava rock floor is mixed with herringbone parquet. Display elements alternate in a refined dynamic, lacquer, chrome and ostrich skin.
The famous skull impresses with its 2 metre size and is an eye catcher for the customers by rotating above their heads. Once again the skull covered in CRISTALLIZEDTM- Swarovski Elements is the centre piece in this PHILIPP PLEIN monobrand store.
The 33 year old designer Philipp Plein had several reasons to open a monobrand store in Düsseldorf: "Düsseldorf brings our idea of opening a store in Germany to perfection.
