There is something very...British about this interpretation. You should record it .again and just let it all hang out. This is Beethoven, baby.

Wonderful! Wonderful! This is a very generous gift you've given to the YouTubers. Bravo!

Well done.

Soft but powerful

I didn't think it could work on the piano, but it is much better than I expected. Thanks for sharing. It just goes to show great music is outside any particular instrument. And you played it well, which helps!

Eb major, actually.

Thank you. I enjoyed both the Alkan and the Tausig. VERY musical performances. However the piano/recording for the Tausig does not do you justice. This sound is better. I have considered playing this piece - but which? It would be interesting to hear which version you think is better and why. How about a posting with you explaining and demonstrating? But thanks for a really musical experience.

if im hearing corretly its in the key of F major
Competently played, but where is the restrained passion in the opening section, and where is the halting, stammering quality that Beethoven intended in the Beklemmt passage? This is probably the most moving piece that Beethoven ever wrote, and the performance doesn't convey that for me.
