Will let me mate Steve either bag or endorse the "reef of question!" The bloke was born in the region and has come back to the island from a "rellie run." Should have seen the "reef" in question " function or semi function & will let all know of his findings soon. Anyway- waves & riders featured here demand utmost respect, recognition & a beer! Sorry man I just saw your message. The Mount reef is a disaster. One million dollars down the drain. They promised a lot and under delivered. The project was cursed by back luck too, but I think it's badly designed, possibly a bit too far out. It was supposed to create an A frame with at least 1m of swell. There's ever barely a ripple on it. When the bags were new there's been a few times where there's been waves, but man it's hollow and shallow as hell, with bags popping out at low tide. Scary!

Hey, whats the deal with that reef? I heard that it occasionally works with a small wave for body boarders, but no-one i talk to seems to know what the deal is.

Man, that is a sweet wave. Wish the Mount looked like that. It hasn't in a while thanks to development and the fuckin' Mount Reef which has destroyed all the best banks while not even creating a ripple.
