Zia ul Haq warning Pakistanis to wake up and assist the Afghans as they took on the Soviets. If the Afghans hadn't been able to defend their land and force the Russians out, what would it have meant for Pakistan?

We're faced with a similar situation today in Afghanistan. Another superpower is engaged in battle on the land which is known as the 'graveyard of empires'. The only difference is that the war isn't being fought in just Afghanistan any more, Pakistan and Afghanistan are part of the same war to according to the new US 'Af-Pak' strategy.

Wake up Pakistan.

  • Mad man....destroyed the idea of a liberal modern Pakistan!

  • Damn dude looks black!!!!!

  • All i care for is the re uniting of greater afghanistan we all noe that the durand line is not afghanistans border we must unite our pashtun brothers to afghanistan n take back our land from pakistan

  • @abasin : It is movement inspired by Taliban of Afghanistan. They are supported by thoese pakistani whose homes and families were destroyed by american drones and attack from Pak army. To fight for so called war against terror. This movement is funded by many other organisations secretly that lead it stray from it real cause. But yea in real its retaliation to what US did and old government policies, which are sadly still followed.

  • @Saadwaqaz Dear brother before I answer you. Let me ask you a question. What do you think or what do you belief is true and what's your point of view on Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)..?

  • still relevant. v true

  • @abasin : About british in the beginning when Pashtun defeated British, british wasn't strong in whole india, but later on Afghan gave their own brother's land for 100 years to keep peace with british. Their own brothers, their own land cuz they realised if they fight they will face a big blow that might crush their society. That was the time when they realised time had been changed look at US sitting in Afg now why haven't they kicked them out ??

  • @mos1544 {Cont} Already damaged enough. some points of zia were good where he wanted us to be strong, but there are strategies to be strong. warfare and tactics change with time, So should our strategies. He could have done all that while staying as army general not as dictator. About economics, take a look at our budget we have faced economical downfall since then. There are a lot of things u need to study don't blindly follow peoples words do thorough study of everything.

  • @mos1544 : I appreciate ur enthusiasm for your fellow pakistanis but taliban were created when Russia invaded Afghanistan. Talibans fight for a cause and justifies them with islam this concept was started by him. "ZIA did good for what we had" please tell me what we had today with everyone dying in this country the terrorism and all. We are extremly weak today. Zia was soldier all his political decisions were made by elite establishment. Mosaad and RAW cant demage our country anymore its {Cont}

  • @abasin : tecnoloy of afg is not sufficiant enough to fight any country. I know that on foot no army can defeat us Pashtun has history of that but with plannes and missiles realistically speaking they can destroy us all and can label us as Pashtun terrorist and end our whole race. So stop talking against each other the times have been changed now there is drones and cluster bombs the time of AKs and Swords are over. while we are still stuck on these weapons and arrogant feeling of proud.
