this information has liberated my mind from the fixation that I had to have a "perfect" ink stone. I will be very interested in learning how the stoneware you find works. In the mean time, I will enjoy with added respect my humble ink stone and ask its understanding of my ignorance in not appreciating it appropriately.

I went to Salvo shop and neighbouring supermarket. Unfortunately I did not find a suitable ware for grinding ink. I finally realize that looking for the substitute of ink stone is actually more difficult than the ink stone itself. I decied give up searching until it bumps up to me.
