UltraFire Flashlights are shipped from HongKong. The reason they are so cheap is because they do not have to worry about quality testing. Because of this, You've got a 50/50 chance of getting a broken one. 90% of the time, The reason they're broken is bad switches/bad soldering on wires. I order one a while back, had issues with it randomly flickering and dimming if you held it in a certain position. Took them sending me 3 new lights before I got one that wasn't broken.

@powermaks abnoxiously bright indeed, a friend of mine got one and from 50 ft away i had to cover my eyes

i have one and it is much brighter than than any light you can buy at a store. on low, 10 LM, or about the brightness of a 9-led light. at low, a bit brighter than the brightest light at walmart (550 LM) and on high, it is abnoxisly bright at around 800-1000 LM!
