  • Great job guys if only I could have afforded a camera seen the Bros. from Allman Joys to The Second Coming, then I was in the USAF and heard about Duanes accident I cried like a baby, what can I say they were the best.

  • @maxzaxe217 Thank you :) here's hoping more footage is found one day :)

  • scotiadave? Nova Scotia?

  • Awesome stuff...I was 16 at the time. I was a year or two away from making the Fillmore East my all-time favorite album...to this day. Thanks for the effort. Too bad all the kids today don't know what original music was all about.

  • Great narrative, I too remember the days of festivals, following the music through the woods to get in.

  • This is the first and only time I can say that "I was there." Love Valley. The Allman Bros played late, around midnight on Friday I'm supposing. I was "groggy." Fortunately they played everyday and night and in the daytime too. during the weekend. I can still see in my mind Duane's long legs slow kick, keeping his balance, with his lead solos. My first concert too. Laying out on our blankets about 50 yards from the stage.

  • The very day I was birthed. Thanks!

  • Whenever I am feeling down, I search 7-17-70 and end up here. This was an early show and Dickey had not yet blossomed. But the interplay is still awesome and provides glimpses of what was to come. 39 years its been since Duane passed and his work is as fresh as ever. No one since has held a candle to him. He was and is the best!

  • Goddamn I love me some Duane Allman.......

  • Thx 4 the memories!!! Great post n thx 4 sharing. Peace.
