  • Listen to the little subtleties in this recording, the minor cord changes Grady Martin and Harold Bradley were doing on the twin lead feeding off each other, makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck, not wrapping it up so it won't be in the toilet bowl while you are wretching because of the vomit spewed forth from radio stations who swear they are playing country music, call them up and ask them to play this, REAL country music, nothing finer was recorded at Bradley's Barn.

  • Great Song!!

To 1dilontaylor you just haven't found the right girl. Going to all the wrong places.

  • Porter sangs this ok. But Conway is the best!!

  • Heard that 1dilliontaylor ! Most young women crave the excitement and thrill of a honkey tonk. Trouble is, it's like a NASCAR race. When it's over, it's over. Ever wonder why when momma could tell daddy stop that and he'd stop or she'd say daddy, I need a new car. He'd go buy it ! Respect, brotha, respect. Honkey Tonk girls aint got any cause they are playmates, not authority figures.

  • mmmm reminds me of someone but don't want to say!! But this song tells it like it is!!!

  • @1dillontaylor You said it, bro!Describes my ex to a T! :( Oh well, got a new, better one now! :)

  • Recorded out north of Mt. Juliet, Owen Bradley and the boys were in theirprime and young and hungry, so was Conway. Listen to him wring ever bit of emotion out of Rose Lee and Joe Maphis, with their pal Max Fiddler doing the writing and John Hughey and the boys doing it, nothing being recorded today even comes within miles of this!

  • This song was the flip side of The Image of Me a beautiful song that Conway recorded

and Decca records released on a 45rpm. Both sides were absolutely great. i still have the original 45. They don't make music like this anymore unfortunately.
