Synopsis: Based on Kim Jee-Woon's 2003 Korean horror film, "Changhwa Hongryon," "The Uninvited" revolves around Anna (Emily Browning), who returns home after spending time in the hospital following the tragic death of her mother. Her recovery suffers a setback when she discovers her father (David Strathairn) has become engaged to her mother's former nurse, Rachel (Elizabeth Banks). That night, Anna is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her of Rachel's intentions. Together, Anna and her sister (Arielle Kebbel) try to convince their father that his current fiancee is not who she pretends to be, and what should have been a happy family reunion becomes a lethal battle of wills between stepdaughters and stepmother.

the first time i watched this movie, I hated Rachel. The second time around I felt sorry for her...lol....as for Anna's dad. :(

I think she was trying to rationalize with a crazy person....saying whatever it would take to get Anna to approach her.

Or she could have interpreted "we know everything" as Anna having discovered that she changed her name to avoid abuse.

Or Anna could have hallucinated the whole dialogue.

I agree! The way she delivers the line, "You caught me"...the second time watching it, you know the truth and everything makes much more sense. The way she says it does not sound real at all and does have sarcasm =]

@supercreamysperm well i like her acting alot but more its her beauty she is #1 to me by far in this movie id marry her without thinking twice about it and ive seen ghost ship good movie.

You can honestly sense the sarcasm in Rachel's voice whens he said, You Caught Me, so that she could bring Anna closer to her. She's not the bad guy @_@ This movie is so twisting. I loved it.,
