honestly, upon thought, i am thinking that sometimes being bi-racial, they may look in the mirror and see something that doesn't say 'blend' well, and they decide to 'smooth' out the look somewhat. I don't think it's necessarily an attempt to de-blackify themselves. Just sometimes the bi-racial mix sometimes comes out a little unusual looking. Is that so wrong to say? just an honest observation.

@candied88dj no no no, they aren't born that way! but they grow in afterwards, like my white daughter's little twinkly nose turned into a schnoz, but we love it. and whatever, you are right, not every black person on the earth has a big nose. we have eyes. don't worry about these dummies and what they say.
-
what's funny to me is the first nose shown looks almost exactly like my totally white daughter's nose! it's a tiny bit of a "schnoz", but it becomes her. she is beautiful.

why are u assuming blacks are born with big noses, tht is a big stereotype

Biracial interpretations of being Black is most interesting. Its not a flattering one. They internalize the World's view and concept of Black. Humiliated races usually have motivation to rise. and usually takes some sort of direction to effect this change. I wonder why does this phenomena escapes both Biracials Blacks and regular Blacks?

Are nonmix Blacks upset because they arent mixed and are biracials upset because they do not want to be burden by being Black? What I gather is that Blacks in general no matter the type have the tendency towards self hatred or self loathing of some sort. Being Black seems to be a burden to all types of Blacks including Biracials.

whats the name of this song?

However self hatred exists in Biracial Blacks as it does in regular Blacks so your presentation with the examples are a good one. Some of those people I believe they had surgery but not all. On a personal note although the information is good I have the tendency to question the motivation when it involves non-biracials presenting info on biracials or visaversa. It makes me wonder where each group's motivation is coming from.

Nose job or not Mariah Carey is Fine. I do not think she had a nose job. I hate to tell you this but Black people that fair on Television or Movies are even Lighter in Person, So her Wax statue is probably closer to her true shade. The Screen make Blacks look darker. You have to have a special lens to show the most accurate shade in Blacks of all types. I think it will be better day when each type of Black of Whatever their racial type or shade learns to love themselves.

@MrTHEPROUD I am sure Holland is a Utopia on race relations(Sarcasm). We've been hearing that grass is greener argument since Paul Robeson; who was a great man by the way but didn't he attempt to slit his wrist? Escapism is a mutha. When African descent minorities do this it makes me think of Jude Law in REPO Men.
@82BlackPower I am bi-racial and I don't cling to my 'dark' side. But I guess you arefrom America, in America it's normal to be in a 'white' group or in a 'black group. In Holland we don't do this, everybody hangs out with everybody and we don't see skin colour.
IT'S called bi-racial NOT black. Even if black is dominant I am still not black because my black features are mixed with my white features which gives a unique look.

Are you serious. Half of these women weren't even that YOUNG in their before pictures compared to that of their 'AFTER/recent pictures'. Noses don't just become smaller in the course of a couple of years. And normally, as white ppl age - their noses get bigger, so just accept that these women, like so many other women in Hollywood, got work done. Sometimes you just have to look a certain way to get by in that world. Sad but true.
