actually to bring in fact, sonic (on foot) can move up to a top speed of just over 750mph (the speed of sound) thus breaking the sound barrier, many thousands of miles per hour more and he would break the light barrier, but don't ask me how fast super sonic is lolz. either way the hoverboard they make sonic use slows him down quite a lot... sega needs to let sonic run at his true speed for once like in unleashed...
