Tom Hanks was PERFECT! Great to hear from 3 surviving members- highlights for me were DC comments about Mike and Denis and Rick thanking Dave for "always pushing us.. bless you". Class acts ALL. Maybe we can let Dave slide for not playing on the hits while he was PRODUCING them-he also put the band together, held it together,developed the image,negotiated record deal,,played on live shows(and some recordings)choose the singles(17 top 20s) in US,AND managed the band!TY for the video!

There were Rhythm&Blues voices, there were RockNRoll voices.....The Dave Clark Five with Mike Smith was the 1st group in my life to actually have the 1st ROCK voice. Everyone else came after Mike Smith. Rest in Peace, Mike!

Really enjoyed this video...all of it ...Dave Clark Five...1963 the year of my graduation and sadness too.. Yes we were invaded...by the English...English bands..yipee...never fainted at seeing them...but scream a little..hahah.

I grew up in this era and remember the "made up rival" between the Beatles and the DC 5 was so huge that I had friends that swore that Dave Clark was American. Little did they know that it was a battle between the two super powers from England that stormed over here in the "Invasion". It seemed all too serious and too much fun at the same time. Very surreal indeed. Coolest era ever.

If any of you should ever happen to be voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, may you never be cursed with such a piss-poor introduction. I like Tom Hanks, but well-meaning bullshit simply doesn't cut it. These guys deserved better.
