Usually you scratch off the paint with a toothpick, or some other sharp implement. Also, if using a toothpick, it usually helps to wet it.

@CardkittyAlters how do you get the name back on at the end? i've always wondered that. do you somehow paint it on?

@BakuganSkoya at least for magic cards i'm pretty sure most people use acrylic paint.
