I think this is the only video that shows L Troop. I remember the locals called it Ambaerg. The brewery downtown was the only place i liked. 77-78. The Denver Broncos beat the Dallas Cowboys that year. I was on ammo dump guard duty that day. We sleep in the building next to the main gate. I really disliked that place. I was 11 B and was lucky enough to get reassigned to Wiesbaden... Now that place i loved. A comment and a thumbs up.

I was their from jan 77-june 79 in the artillery unit, was a mud diver.I enjoyed being in germany but hated the cold snow. Its great to see the post again reminding me when i was younger. I spent many a day alone fixing the 155 howitzer and m60, alone at all the gasthous with cases of c rations and drink all night.

@FairTaxMan2010 You probably helped fix my hummer. I drove the XO around my last few months there.
Thank you, somehow "job" does not fit the service. Ironically I am in a career now that is furthest away, would never have dreamed it nor did I particularly respect it. I work for a firm the services those who served as a financial adviser. At one time I carried alot of baggage around "those civilians" who worked in financial services. I enjoy it for the most part, and the service ruined me I have to work hard at most everything I do now.

@kkhay61 I remember it being so taboo for a soldier to seek "therapy" on the grounds it would lead to termination. The end result is suffering! Something I have seen first hand as well. I still don't think they do enough to help with the psychological aspect affiliated with the service.

Thank you for the video. Brings back memories. Mostly stessed out one. Was LT there for several years 86 to 88. Hardest work I've ever had, 24/7, with about 6 hours of sleep a night.
