It is Friday of the labor day weekend, and I have driven to the far end of Galveston, Texas to a place called East Beach. There are ships, fishermen, and seagulls in the area. Also this is the weekend before Hurricane Gustav, and although New Orleans is the primary target, Galveston is in the warning area as well. This was filmed on the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Also you will see I am also standing in front of a sign about it being Fort San Jacinto Historical point

  • I enjoyed your video. The Ferry you saw takes you to Bolivar. You can view the Bolivar Lighthouse which housed over 200 people in the 1900 storm. The buidlings you see in the distance is Texas City.

Thanks for coming to our beautiful state.

  • He's wrong for this.

  • By the way, the guy is at the east end of galveston tx, where the seawall ends and goes down to the beach after making a right turn. How do you see tx city from this point?? Tx city is back the other way!!!!

  • Um...sorry, that isn't Houston you are seeing.

    Thanks for posting, though.

  • Good... you needed to head back to Houston cause your a yuppie, and by the way, what you see across the water is Texas City, not Houston, and in no way does taking the ferry from Galveston take you to Baytown. It goes to Bolivar which is no way close to Baytown. Also, stop scaring the gulls.
