Kinda similar to last nights game

That hit basically ended Montana's career in SF. He missed all of 91 and most of 92 and paved the way for Steve Young to take over.

@UrbanSipfly 2002. The botched snap? And don't forget the pasting the Giants got from the 49ers in 1993 in what turned out to be both LT's and Simms' last game as a Giants.

I'm at work and have no sound so I put on the transcribe option. At 2:06 it says "I hit zero there retarded children". Right when he hits Joe Montana. LOL. Anyway I remember this game as a Giants fan and it was a top 10 in my book, very hard fought game. If you were not a Giants fan you would probably think the game sucks looking at all the field goals, but I thought it was awesome.

Does anyone know the name of the piece of music starting at 2:38?

Even though I'm a Bills fan, this was a wonderful America's Game episode (though the 1986 episode was slightly better). I thought Ottis 'OJ' Anderson did a great job.

Each time, since 1986, the NY Giants and the 49ers met in the playoffs, the Giants have gone on and advanced to the superbowl...I hope that trend continues, should these 2 teams meet again! This upcoming game 11/13/11, brings out the best in Elite Eli.

@miggizle85 Yeah, with ALL our guys either gone or at the very end of their careers. It was LT's last game. HOORAY.

@wizeman5974 No need to feel sorry. The Niners eventually "avenged" that loss by blowing out the Giants in the playoffs a few years later. Plus there's also the Jeff Garcia/botched snap game. Sports are great that way. Now let's just both hope that either one of our teams are even the post-season this year. Giants gotta return to form of a few years ago, and my Niners are unfortunately way behind right now (luckily we play in the NFC West lol).

@miggizle85 It was just as surreal to me to watch NY win the NFC Championship in San Francisco too against the might Niners. I kept hoping, hoping, and hoping. Sorry that was your team that the Giants beat. Every time I re-watch Bahr's FG at the end of that game, I still think, "Is he going to miss it?". It's still surreal to this day, but yeah, it really was a special year.
Damn. I was hoping to read some insightful comments about the game from those who may remember it better than me, and instead I get two pussies going back and forth about Brett Favre and Eli Manning?................. Gotta love the internet.
