HeroQuest TV spot from the 80's. HeroQuest was created by Stephen Baker, who worked for the UK division of Milton Bradley (MB). HeroQuest was released in Britain, Europe and Australia around 1989. It was released in North America in 1990 in a slightly different version.
The game consisted of a board and a number of individual miniatures and items. The protagonists were 4 heroes ("Barbarian", "Dwarf", "Elf" and "Wizard") who faced a selection of monsters: Orcs, Goblins, Fimir, Chaos Warriors, a Chaos Warlock (which represented many of the named characters for the various quests), a Gargoyle and a number of Undead - skeletons, zombies and mummies.

  • This was an awesome game! I am now part of a gaming club where we play a customised miniatures rpg in handmade, 3 dimensional dungeons. Hero Quest is one of the games we take influence from :D

  • Best board game I ever had.

  • @Hammerpaints I'm lucky I have a copy, but be prepared to pay handsom for it, there going for $200+ for a brand new copy, $80+ for used copyies that might have missing pieces.

  • you didn't actually have to 'use' it, I recall ? You just had to buy it, and it allowed your guy to throw three dice for attack ?

  • I'll use my Broadsword........you slag!

  • still have it virtually intact with Return of the Witch Lord exp. Hand painted the majority of the figurines but still looks good.

  • This is/was the best board game ever.

  • ahahahhahaha omg, memories, this game was a classic, brilliant stuff....fire of wrath ahahahahahahha
