Blackfeet Mission 2007

Our mission team went to Browning Montana to work with the kids in the center of the Blackfeet Nation. Poverty stricken,most suffer harsh physical abuse,meth & booze are in such heavy use the kids basically fend for themselves and younger siblings. I hope this shows the diversity of the area and the little bit of comfort,attention,and most importantly the affection the kids have when teams like ours come out there.our team had 17 volunteers,yet we fed at least 25 to 30 people(homeless would come in for a hot meal) not including the 30 or so kids who with us got the only hot meal they would eat that day. I think its great that people are trying to help us indians! But how did we get here. they should of at least added the reasons why we are in poverty, and why we have no direction. why us kids have to fight every day. why our people and many other nations lost our culture. It great they did this! thank you from the bottom of our hearts! One other thing, they could have at least played music from our nation instead of a Dine song! We have many talented people, musicains and artists at that!

@chiefcalf You are right. I am Blackfeet and wish all the Indians of all the tribes where free.

We are the ones who should be running this country. They came and killed our peoples and stole the land. The Indian language does not have a word for owning the land. ?It is the great spirit that gives to all men..The reservations are nothing but prisons for us and all the tribes. They have no right to do what they have been doing to us.

Great Video, the people are beautiful, especially the children as is true anywhere, up here near Calgary we have the Blackfoot, my Nephew and Niece are Metis, Athabascan Cree/ with my brother as father, they are doing very well. I love the music too. Love Lou

The houses on 4:20 dont look like that no more they actualy look alot better and they have a lawn now lol....and yes there is a drug and alchohol problem in browning but where isnt there a problem like that....its every where,,,
