St. Olaf (7-2, 5-2 MIAC) tied the game on an eight-yard Leon Clark touchdown run, his third of the afternoon, with 1:54 left in regulation. St. Olaf then stopped SJU on its next offensive possession, but the ensuing punt hit an St. Olaf player at the SJU 43-yard line and the Johnnies recovered to set up the game-winning drive.
The Johnnies (5-4, 4-3 MIAC) overcame a 17-0 deficit and six turnovers. St. Olaf defensive back Nick Brandjord had two interceptions and three different Oles recovered SJU fumbles. Wes Lynch led the St. Olaf defense with 18 tackles, including 12 solo and 1.5 for a loss.
Clark finished with 99 yards on 21 carries. Quarterback Dan Dobson was 11-for-24 for 114 yards and an interception.
Wes Lynch was named the MIAC's defensive player of the week after compiling 18 tackles in the Oles' last-second loss at Saint John's on Saturday.
St. Olaf closes its season on Saturday with a home game against Concordia College-Moorhead at 1 p.m.
