Ok, let's turn it inside out for a minute. Are fetuses dead? You keep regurgitating the same old party line about how it's ok to kill something that isn't alive, yet you can't escape using words like murder in reference to them. If the fetus is dead, then it will never be "born" and become a person. There are people who have been born without eyes, ears, mouths, arms and legs, and they were still people, so how do you say that a fetus is not alive, simply because he or she is undeveloped?

Jesus was speaking of the Mosaic covenant, which few people understand. It is a sin to murder, but not to kill if someone commits a crime, and under the law, it was a crime to curse your parents. The difference was that in those days, the Jews had to be kept close knit, and as without inner conflict as possible, so a teen or young adult who caused disharmony could either leave, or be put to death. Maybe read the Bible instead of finding excuses??

@apologeticsman Really? No Christian would murder? But it tells them to many times in your sacred bible. Here's an example. "Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of their father or mother must be put to death." Matthew 15:4. But you probably pick and choose what you folow in the bible, right? Or do you let the pope tell you what parts to follow or ignore? The victims of the Holocaust were actual individuals. Fetuses are not individuals. They are not people. They are simply potential people.

We are discussing two very different things. People who have a seared or deficient conscience allow what is "legal" or "illegal" to determine what is right. 150 years or so ago, it was "legal" to enslave a black person, because they were supposedly not fully human, thus not entitled to the same basic human rights as the whites. Same thing with Nazis, they decided that Jews were not really humans as they were, so they had no rights either. Alive is alive, even when you're tiny...
