It's a rainy day...so lets go outside to test the ESBIT stove. Also, Let's have my favorite backpacking meal for lunch.

  • Make some beef jerky with your dehydrator and toss that in some time. Half a pack of ramen, couple strips of home made jerky, and some wild greens makes a great beef stew out on the trail.

  • I tested an esbit stove and fuel block but did not get this hot. water did not boil and the flame didn't look half as big as what you showed here. Any ideas what went wrong?

  • Some nice food. You can do a meat version of this using beef flavor noodles and hot dogs. Cheap and simple to make. I've got some camping food videos on my channel as well. Worth a look.
