I'm not going to enclose the name and too much background of this martial artist. Sometimes labels can mislead our most natural senses. Taichi is not just a form of martial arts, it's a way of life, and a lethal weapon when it comes to realistic combat situations.
The martial artist in the video has an exceptional foundation in external kungfu, a disciple of a respected Shaolin Monk who's name I'm not going to enclose. An expert in various Shaolin styles and weapons, she did not learn her Kungfu from someone who claims to have practiced Shaolin kungfu, instead, she grew up at the Shaolin Temple, learned her kungfu and even was an instructor at Shaolin Temple's own martial arts academy, furthermore, a member of the "Shaolin martial arts monk team" (Shaolin Temple is really accessible to the public these days, but you won't see this specially selected team there), which is selected through even harsher standards, and is seen as the gem that carries on the most secretive Shaolin kungfu and spirit. She was an exception on the team for being a female, and who's not an ordained monk.
She's decorated with various national honors including national Sanda (Chinese MMA) champion (no gender category), Southern Fist champion, national Chen style Taichi champion,x times (once improvised her competition routine on stage), and champion of all 4 traditional Chinese weapons (straight sword, broad sword, staff and spear)...etc. All honors listed above are Chinese national honors.
