@davidglow3 How right you are. Complete shite. They really had lost it by this time. If you listen to Bye Bye Johnny from the New York gig of '72, it sounds like a different band. Which it is I suppose without Taylor. Personally, I think they should have packed up straight after the American tour of 1972.

Utter tripe.This song is meant to have a tight boogie feel to it.Playing it at 100mph loses that great feel.They should listen to their own 1965 version.If only they retired in 1974

@davidglow3 ...this version "rocks", that's why it's unique. I applaud any act that's ready to shake things up on stage and try out different arrangements. If you like "Down The Road..." with a "boogie woogie" flavor, then this version is not for you.
