@weheartjill Because as gross as the production method may sound, ambergris is actually a very valuable substance which can be used to make fine luxury perfumes and incenses.
And anyway, it's a metaphor: she's not literally hoping you find whale excrement, she's hoping you find a rare treasure that gives you great joy.
