Seriously, this is NOT sanchin. Get a grip guys.
-
why do they make way over dramatic movements, over crossing their fists and putting their fists right back behind their heads? also it doesn't sound like their concentrating their breathing to a cut off point. it sounds more like their having a stroke. Can we see bunkai for these movements swinging the arms right back behind the head. where did these extra movements come from? have these been added to the kata by calasanz? what are their relevance?

@PakDaeHan No-one cares that he's teaching a fraudulent style of martial art, its when he calls it something it clearly isn't like Goju, or Wing Chun . If you have any doubt look up other Okinawan goju videos that others post, why do all of their katas correspond and only his have no resemblance to real karate I ask?
-
are you guys training as "martial artists" or "boogey monsters"?
-
This sanchin is..... Not controlled. No kimé, ibuki breathing is.... Well, not controlled. And the Middle blocks are too narrow, if the ibuki and kimé where correct, this guy would hurt himself because of poor posture, also why is the class not in singular uniform? Everyones got their own thing, and the sensei doesn't even have a uniform on, poor reishiki

BLahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
Why is this Sanchin so different from any other, and why the laboured breathing? No discourtesy meant; just asking.
-
If This man created his own style of Karate, then shouldn't he be SOKE of his own style rather you like it or not? leave him alone and don't watch this video if all your gonna do is complain.

Well...this explains how Jim Jones tricked folks into drinking Kool-aid.

@shadowind31 - shadowfart - stop defending this fraud. You never had any experience before to know the difference from what is real or not. I repeat, he is in GREAT SHAPE, but in martial arts, he has accomplished nothing. The person above confirmed with Sakamoto Sensei... how much proof do you need???
I must apologize, Calasanz, I contacted my Sensei and he explained that you had a green belt when you quit goju, not an orange. My mistake. You forgot to mention that he is coming as a guest of Liriano and that you are paying for Soke's wife to come to the U.S.A.. Kind of an expensive way to get a picture with Sakamoto just to pretend you are a black belt. Call your style Calasanz, but not goju. You embarrass the rest of us. Talk about liars. There are those of us who know!

You are being a naucious person, find something to do, find yourself a job or something that keep you busy and don;'t bother those who do good in this world.

To the most well balanced martial artist in the world you are being Jealous at his skill and to what he has accomplished and here you are creating some history of your own thought. Don't waste your time just learn from this guy and also send all those that need to learn too from him.

It is a shame that this fellow uses the name of Tameyoshi Sakamoto Soke to give credence to this "goju". I spoke with Sakamoto and Alverez Sensei while training in the D.R. they told me that calasanz quit "goju" as an orange belt. On "webwire" he claims that he received his black belt from Sakamoto. This is NOT the case. Sakamoto has never taught this kind of "goju" and never will. Also, Alverez Sensei has just been promoted to Hachidan and Kyoshi by Sakamoto Soke and Nakamura Sensei.

Tameyoshi will be on October 2nd and 3rd to Norwalk CT., to Calasanz's Center. Calasanz is being also the Sponsorship of a big tournament in D. R. You need a lesson from Calasanz himself, we do not like liers. We do not like those who lie on front of themselves, probably Calasanz is the only student that no just learnt private from Tameyoshi, but the only of those time that paid him well.

I've seen some funny things in martial arts over the years, but this takes the biscuit as a form of Sanchin kata, I've studied and trained in Goju Ryu for 28 years and have trained in Okinawa,Japan and China, but i dont think i've seen this version of Sanchin. I dont think he should call it Goju Ryu,Sanchin, or anything else to do with Karate But should rename it as I COND U RYU This mans gives martial arts a bad name and a misunderstanding of true martial arts. PS Absolute F...ING Crap

Such an experienced martial artist, and having gone all over the world studying different methods, it surprises me that your so quick to pass judgment. But it does show your lack of humility. A trait that should have developed thorough rigorous training. Through failing and overcoming, and facing challenges that reveal to us how human and fragile we are. A condescending "martial artist" like yourself has obviously missed something very important in his/her training...28 years down the drain.
