I'll tell you. I've read the book and also seen the movie and I own one copy. The 1988 adaptation of Bourne Identity is based on the novel and follows more closelly the book's plot.Don't forget that this movie was shot in 2 episodes and shown on Tv and not cinema, than the 2002 version
