I'd say they are two separate things.

Evolution is based on cultural norms for sure. The thing is, it takes longer than recorded history to occur, so.. ?

Sugar coating takes away any possibility for change and stagnates progress.

Sugar coating reality, stifles evolution. It doesn't matter anyway. It is a big colorful rainbow and we already have the ability to shape our genes.

I'm against people who think their problems belong to somebody else.
